Christmas Mini Album

I really love Bo Bunny's mini albums. They come pre-printed, so it totally saves time. Usually, covering naked chipboard albums is the most time-consuming, tedious part, so I was happy to have that work done for me already :) I decided to get ahead this year by creating a mini album for the Christmas season with the pages all ready to go for photos. Seven 4x6 photos will fit inside, so I can pick the very best ones.

Page 1 (inside front cover). I inked all the edges throughout the album, and added dots to some of the pages. For the flower centers, I used round chipboard shapes and brads from the collection:

Page 2. I added photo mats to the pages, cut to fit 4x6 photos. For the first page, I made sure I aligned it so that the photo will be seen through the cover window. Again, I added some candy cane circles from the 12x12 chipboard sheet to the flower centers, and added glitter to them:

Page 3. For all the photo mats where the embellishments overlap the mat, I was careful to make sure I didn't glue down the parts that touched the mat, so that when the photos are added, they can slide in easily:

Page 4:

Page 5. I just couldn't resist cutting this awesome Santa from the paper and adding him to one of the pages instead of using it for a photo - he's well worth the space:

Page 9. The Noteworthy pack had a few great journaling spots, and I wanted to make sure I used at least one of the pages for adding some memories. This page was perfect for it, since I didn't want to cover up the cute image of the kids skating:

Page 10:

Detail from page 10 - I really love the bling flourishes on this page. I also added a chipboard star to the top of the tree and added glitter to it:

And finally, the back cover. I added a layered chipboard embellishment to the back:

I hope you guys liked my mini. I'm looking forward to filling it up with pics :)

Happy December!!

Hey guys, I'm away on vacation right now, but I pre-scheduled this post. I wanted to share a couple Christmas cards using a combo of the two new Bo Bunny Christmas collections: Silver & Gold and Elf Magic. I LOVE how easy it is to make cards with Bo Bunny collections - the cut-apart sheets and the Noteworthy, along with all the matching elements that go with each collection make it a total breeze to throw some cards together.

For these two, I wanted to do different styles - one is traditional and one is more fun, perfect for a child. Also, I embellished the insides of both. It only takes a minute or two to do that, but makes such a huge difference! Adds a really personal touch and a pretty place to write your message.

Bo Bunny Desing Team Blog Hop

Hi everyone, and welcome to my stop on the Bo Bunny DT blog hop!! I hope you've been enjoying yourselves. You should be coming here from Gabrielle's blog. I thought I'd tell you a little bit about myself, since you're here :)

I never understood what the point of scrapbooking was until my daughter was born, and I thought I'd try it since I had a gazillion adorable pictures I didn't know what to do with. I tried it, I was hooked, and the rest is history, as they say. She's 9 years old now, so it was a pretty long time ago, but I've been having a blast with it. I love to make layouts and mini albums, and I also love to color stamps with Copics and make cards. My style tends to have lots of details and layer, and artsy and vintage elements. I used to paint and draw when I was younger, so scrapbooking is a great outlet for my creative energies, and also a great way to make the most of all our photos. I mainly scrapbooking my family - especially my kids!

I chose this photo since the theme is "Family" and this is a great pic of all 4 of us together. This is just from about a month ago, enjoying a hayride at the pumpkin patch. I love love LOVEE "Autumn Song". It's everything I love about Bo Bunny - gorgeous, rich colors, lots of details and beautiful elements, and swirls and flourishes galore. It matched the photo perfectly!

I used the Autumn Song collection, including the papers, jewels, 12x12 chipboard, brads, and noteworthy. I also used the Bo Bunny Blossoms - Daisy in Harvest Orange and Buttercup colors.

Now, hop on over to the amazingly talented Irene Tan's blog HERE, and enjoy! And don't forget.... make sure you complete the entire hop and then email Bo Bunny with your answers at thebobunnyblog@gmail.com. One winner will be randomly selected from all of the correct answers to receive an amazing "Elf Magic" BoBunny prize package. Good luck :)

Scrap Around The World Challenge!!

Hi guys, this month, Scrap Around The World has another great challenge for you - it's a super happy, colorful mood board and a really cool sketch if you want to use it. Challenge ends November 30th and can be found HERE. Bo Bunny is one of the sponsors for the month and is offering a wonderful prize package of the Silver And Gold collection (just in time for Christmas!). The Bo Bunny DT were invited to play along with the challenge, and it was so fun (you can see all the entires from the Bo Bunny DT HERE), and here is mine:

I loved the bright, happy rainbow colors of the mood board, and I thought they would be perfect for this cheerful, energetic photo. I wrote down all the colors of the rainbow that I wanted to use, and made sure I pulled all the relevant colors from the various Bo Bunny collections - Head Over Heels (red), Autumn Song (yellow and orange), Zip-A-Dee Doodle (blue), and double-dot cardstock (purple and green). I love how well all the lines went together! Also, I made sure to pair up some contrasting colors in close vicinity to one another to create even more pop - orange and purple and green and red, especially.

Sweetness and sunlight

Made a page about my son using the Echo Park "Scoot" collection again.... down to its bare bones now, but I got a few good layouts out of it :) I also used Heidi Swapp mistable chipboard arrows, Prima flowers, and some realy beautiful ZVA flourishes - a big one, as well as a couple smaller ones.

Nostalgia

I always loved that word for some reason, and it totally inspired me to scrap this photo of myself... I am always so serious in all my photos. The Graphic 45 "ABC Primer" collection was absolutely perfect for the photo and title. I also used Prima flowers and buttons form random collections. The gorgeous swirls are by ZVA. I totally ran out of the black flourishes, so the ones I used on the top left of the page I had to color from clear crystal to black with a Black 100 Copic marker. I think it came out perfect.

Can't get enough of The Avenues

The Avenues (Summer CHA release from Bo Bunny) is to die for - I love everything about it. I decided to create a layout about our new hamster, Luna - she's a Chinese hamster and soooo cute and sweet. I used paper from the Avenues collection, along with various elements as well - layered stickers, bling, and some wood clocks from the Bo Bunny kraft collection. The black flourishes are by ZVA Creative :)

Something frightful this way comes...

Halloween, that is! Wanted to share a LO today about my son dressed as knight last year for Halloween. I used the really versatile new "Fright Delight" collection by Bo Bunny - it really offers something for everyone, and would be just as perfect for a teenage layout as for a little kid layout. I used paper, Noteworthy, jewels, brads, chipboard sticker, regular stickers, and layered stickers from the collection. That chipboard tree that I cut up to look like creepy flourishes is my favorite embellie!!

My sweetest little cub...

Sharing a LO of my daughter with little wolf cub ears on, using the gorgeous "Rosewood" collection from Colorbok. The embellishments are from the Heidi Grace "Cartwheel" collection - gem lines, chipboard swirls, die-cut flowers and leaves, stitched borders, and cloth flowers. I just love how this collection goes so well with so many of the different Colorbok collections I've been getting to play with over the last few months. I'm really loving designing for Colorbok/Making Memories!

Happy October, and... a summery layout!

Well, summer is most definitely over (being October and all), so of course I was tempted by the gorgeous "Boardwalk" collection from Colorbok. I really love the super warm colors and all the black edging and distressing. Perfect for a summery layout, and for a boy layout (since theat's my son in the pic, from a few years ago).

The cloth flowers, layered butterflies, epoxy circles, and the gem trails are all from the Heidi Grace "Cartwheel" collection. The gems came in straight lines and I twisted them a bit to make little flight trails for the butterflies. I also embellished the butterfly wings with the epoxy circles. The "POOL" letters and the little flags and banners are all cut out from the "Boardwalk" collection's cut-apart element sheets.

Using up the last bits...

Today, I wanted to share some projects with the "Surprise" collection from Bo Bunny. I really love this collection, and had already made a pretty big mini with it, so I didn't have a whole lot left - just one full sheet and a bunch of scraps (left over from cutting out the mini album pages). SO I thought it would be fun (and useful) to finish it all off. I had the one full sheet, which was perfect for doing a layout, and I figured I could make a bunch of cards with the scraps.

My kids have a constant stream of friends' birthday parties to go to, and almost every weekend I need a cute little card for a kid's birthday party. I know as soon as the kid gets home, the card is likely going in the trash, so I didn't want to make anything too fancy - just fun, bright, and cheerful.

So first off, here is my layout. Even though this is a very birthday-themed collection, this particular sheet was perfect for a non-birthday layout.

And here are all the cards... I ended up making 9, and I actually had some more scraps left over - I could probably squeeze another few cards out of it. I simply used paper, images cut out from the paper, stickers from the collection, some brads, pop dots, and a chipboard embellie from the collection.
